Hello loyal customers and avid readers of this website. Craigard is celebrating 18 years this year in Business in Helensburgh. With this in mind i have produced quality handmade chocolates with only five ingredients,no additives,preservatives,flavourings,colourings etc etc etc. We can gift wrap and gift box them lovingly for no extra charge. This year has been an eye opener for me and a coming of age year also.Helensburgh -The town i was born in is a beautiful place to live and work and i am truly lucky to have been born here.I cant save this town from the clutches of the historic generation that runs it no more than the next man can ,but i can enjoy it now and continue to make Craigard my little piece of Scottishness for locals and tourists alike. I am truly proud to be Scottish and look forward to celebrating this year and every other with all the wonderful local people and tourists that make this town a special place to be in.See you all soon , slainte.

Hi everyone ,Well what a day Sunday the 29th November 2009 was. Thankyou all so much for attending a truly excellent event. It takes great skill to attract that many people in a short time and make it look organised and the HLG managed this in spades. I cant wait to see who takes this job on next year and how they top it? I personally have decided to resign from the HLG and concentrate on my wee shop for a while .It will be 15 years old in 2010 and i also am committed to now making more huge successful events like this Xmas event happen in Helensburgh. . Hi Everybody ,I hope you are all set to come to Helensburgh on Sunday .I think the weather might just be kind to us after all. All the stalls kick of from 10am including lots of food stalls ,over 35 to be exact ,gift stalls,jewellery,soaps,homebaking,animal clothing etc,and too much more to mention.There will be a huge double decker bus which has transformed into a clay pottery room where the kids can get their hands dirty and make something at the same time.The Rosslea hotel of course will be dishing out their superb food to a sit down experience in their own covered marquee. In our biggest marquee of the day there will be the world class Clyde built puppet theatre who will be entertaining kids and adults alike with two show stopping performances throughout the day. There is also Scotlands famous magician Scott Smith ,famous all over scotland who will be tricking and making magic all day long.Scott is well known for his recent post code lottery appearances as well as throughout Scotland.

Hi Everyone ,Well its that time of the year again when winter approaches and the days get colder.Well dont despair as the HLG have just been given the mammoth task of staging an extraordinary outdoor Xmas market on the 29th November in Colquhoun street Helensburgh.The day will start at 10am with over 55 stalls selling everything you would expect at a quality xmas market ,from roasted hot chestnuts to mulled wine ,xmas gifts and food ,food,food. At 12 oclock there will be a fabulous musical and kids entertainment programme taking us through to the lights switch on at 4-30 ish pm . The lights will be switched on by the kind couple who donated money to make sure Helensburgh had lights this year ,after a blunder with lights mysteriously being broken or damaged. The west kirk church will be the venue for santa appearing and many elves will be escorting the lucky children into this beautiful archway. With magicians and puppet theatre and proffessional traditional musicians this promises to be one for the Helensburgh calender. So come along this year and be prepared to sing in some Xmas cheer . Hello everyone just thought i would keep you up to speed with some new ventures.
New for the Xmas and New Year period are a Stunning collection of Darrel Hendries Helensburgh Photographs ,beautifully displayed in a glossy Helensburgh calender due out early December 2009 and a great Xmas present.
My bakery school has taken of this year and i have now had some famous people sign up for lessons. To this end i have been asked to produce an exclusive Craigard recipe book with again some of Darrel Hendries stunning photographs of the final mouthwatering results.
All these can be bought exclusively at Craigard. Along with Ann Stewarts beautifully created Stunnng photography on moving DVD ,and the Helensburgh Postcards.
